Yannis Ramfos

Mr. Ramfos is an Electrical Engineer and holds an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan. He has over with over 20 years of experience on business administration and development of integrated real time systems.

His latest endeavor focuses on the production of Mixed/Augmented Reality navigational aids. Mr. Ramfos is an associate member of Ammitec.

International Keynote Speaker Prof. Dr. Henning Vöpel Henning Vöpel has been director and CEO of the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI) since 2014. In 2010, he was appointed for Professor for Economics at HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration. His research areas include business cycle analysis, fiscal and monetary policy as well as digital economy.

Panos Dimitriou Panos Dimitriou is the CTO and a co-founder of Encode, having more than 20 years of experience in cyber security. During his career he has served as Director of Managed Security Services and as Director of Services and Solutions for Encode S.A., as well as a Security Analyst for Space Hellas S.A., where he had actively participated in the formation of the company’s Information Security Department.

Skilled in implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and designing technology systems ensuring a reliable and efficient network to keep the organization running smoothly and profitably.

Dr Antonis Fringas Dr Antonis Fringas, holds an MSc and PhD in Informatics and has co-founded SQLearn in 2006. Antonis has experience in e-learning related projects in many different settings and in the design and development of web-based applications.

Panagiotis Gavalas Panagiotis Gavalas is the Director of Operations for IQ Solutions SA, a company with a strong tailored-made portfolio of solutions for the Maritime Industry, emphasizing on security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, interoperability, manageability and auditability of Vessel IT and Communications Systems through a holistic ICT approach.

Kostas Grivas Kostas is the Information Security Officer of Angelicoussis Maritime Group. He is responsible for the Information Security strategy and developments of all Group’s functions, both shore and vessels’ side.

Chronis Kapalidis Chronis Kapalidis, MA, PgCDML is an Academy Stavros Niarchos Foundation Fellow at the International Security Department, Chatham House. Before joining Chatham House Chronis was an officer at the Hellenic Navy.

Konstantinos Kranis Konstantinos is an IT professional with more than 15 years of experience in the Telecommunications and IT industries in Greece. For the last four years he has joined the ESET Hellas team and currently has the position of Branch Manager.

Zacharoula Lempesi Mrs Zacharoula Lempesi has an extensive working experience in HSQE Management roles at highly reputable shipping companies for 23 consecutive years and currently she serves as HSQE Manager at Empire Navigation Inc.

George Marinis Mr. George Marinis has an extensive 30-year experience in the networking industry. He has been working as a Systems Engineer for Cisco for the last 12 years.

Dr. Matthew Maheras Dr. Matthew Maheras is the IT Manager of Metrostar Management Corp. He holds a PhD in Operational Research from NTUA, and an MBA from Imperial College, London.

Tasos Makris Tasos Makris is an Information Systems & Usability specialist. He holds a BSc in Physics and a Masters of Computer Science. He has worked in the Health sector in the U.K. and in the Greek Industry Automation Sector (Hercules Cement Corp./Amber) before joining the Maritime Sector in 1993 where he worked for Gourdomichalis Maritime until 2013 as Information Systems Director.

Stratos Margaritis Studied at the University of Bergen, Norway, Department of Informatics. Currently Solutions Architect at Navarino.

Prof. Nikitas Nikitakos He has 25 years experience as an officer in the Navy where he resigned after his election as professor at the University of the Aegean. He was honored by various national and international organizations for the research team results in renewable and sustainable development and is a visiting professor at the Shanghai Maritime University and Hangzhou Dianzi China.

Lefteris Ntantoumis Lefteris is an Electrical & Computer Engineer. He graduated from the University of Patras and holds a MSc degree in Microelectronics. He is an Integrated Maritime Auditor ISO 9001/ ISO 14001/ OHSAS 18001/ ISO 28007 with 10 years of experience as an IT Systems Administrator and Quality Manager.

Dimitris Orfanoudakis Mr Dimitrios Orfanoudakis has been the IT Manager of JL Maritime Group since 2006. He is responsible for the Information Technology adoption and maintenance, ICT strategy and development of the Group for both shore and vessels ICT infrastructure and proprietary systems.

Thanassis Pagonis Mr. Thanassis Pagonis is working for Almi Tankers as a Business Performance Monitoring Unit Officer for the past 7 years and has been involved with data management and analysis for the most part of his career.

Nikos Patronas He has involved at many projects at Carras (Hellas) S.A as Shore Messaging, Document Management & Workflow (IBM Domino), Shore ERP modules development, Shore Clustering (Linux), Storage / Backup / Data Recovery (Open source) and Shore Redundancy Networking , Crew Welfare (Mikrotik)

Harilaos Petrakakos Harilaos Petrakakos has been a Marine Consultant since 1977. He has successfully supported owners, banks and insurance companies with difficult technical cases in Ship Building, H & M Claims, Technical Management, Strategic Planning and business development.

Antonis Proimadis Antonis Proimadis is an accomplished IT security expert with more than 18 years of professional experience. Antonis is working for Fortinet as a Senior Sales Engineer and he is responsible for Greece and Cyprus.

Stelios Sabanis Stelios Sabanis is the Head of ICT at GasLog, driving both ICT strategy and day to day operations onboard and ashore. He has close to 20 years experience in managing ICT operations for LNG, dry cargo, tankers, chemical tankers.

Themistoklis Sardis Mr. Themistoklis Sardis is the IT Manager of Costamare Shipping Company S.A. He has twenty years of experience in the shipping industry and is a founding member of AMMITEC.
